2K DIGITAL INTERMEDIATE FOR CHASING GHOSTS |
With Chasing Ghosts, Tunnel pioneered a revolutionary new workflow, coining the term "desktop digital intermediate." Tunnel's accomplishments on Chasing Ghosts were journaled in almost every trade magazine in the post production and production industries. While Chasing Ghosts may have had a very small budget by Hollywood standards, that did not deter the Tunnel team from bringing some of the highest caliber post capabilities to the film's finishing process.
Chasing Ghosts was the first time Tunnel worked with Wingman Productions, but the film's execs were so pleased with the process and end results that Tunnel was awarded the digital intermediate on Wingman's next feature film, Toxic. Sony Home Entertainment released Chasing Ghosts in early 2006.

| VISUAL FX & TITLES FOR CHASING GHOSTS |
On Chasing Ghosts Tunnel was faced with building New York City out of the Universal backlot. The film was shot during the summer here in Los Angeles but was supposed to take place in New York during the fall. Tunnel Post built many set extensions, as well as created wide sweeping city shots from scratch to give the film the NYC feel it needed.
In addition there were several shots in Chasing Ghosts that required rotoscoping, tracking, wire removal, and digital clean up. Tim Carras led his team as VFX Supervisor on Chasing Ghosts. Since Ghosts finished in 2005 Tim Carras and Tunnel Post have consistently worked together on a wide range of VFX Projects. Most recetly Tim Carras and Josh Comen of Comen VFX have partnered with Tunnel to provide post services on many of their VFX shows. |
